A native to Toronto, Danielle graduated from the Professional Program of the National Ballet of Canada in 2002. There she worked with highly respected teachers: Bob McCullum, Lindsey Fischer, Martine van Hamel and Jean Yves Esquerre. Danielle also danced and trained with the Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre, receiving Limon training with Donna Krasnow, and performing works by celebrated choreographers such as Tedd Robinson, Darryl Tracy and Holly Small. After her studies, Danielle spent two years working with Robert Desrosiers followed by three seasons with Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, giving her the opportunity to perform premier works by Aszure Barton, Rodrigo Pedeneiras and Crystal Pite. Danielle has also performed with ProArte Danza and Dreamwalkers Dance Company. In 2006, she became a member of ezdanza, a part-time contemporary company, where she works as interpretive artist and artistic assistant to choreographer and director Edgar Zendejas.
In addition to her dance career Danielle is an honours graduate from Concordia University where she completed a BA in Child Studies. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Teacher Trainer of the Aeküus Functional Movement technique.
Danielle currently teaches holistic health and movement classes to youth and adults in Ontario and Quebec. She is also pursuing a Master’s in Education from Toronto’s prestigious Ontario Institute for Studies in Education where she is exploring the role of the arts in holistic health preservation and environmental stewardship.
